Uyanda was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in July 2021 having joined the firm as a candidate attorney in 2019. During his tenure he has obtained experience in three (3) of the firm’s five departments being the Commercial Litigation Dept, Corporate and Commercial Dept and the Insolvency Dept. His experience in the foregoing includes, inter alia, the following:
- Litigation: Civil and commercial litigation in the Magistrate’s Court and High Court, Arbitrations, Disciplinary proceedings, Family law, Labour law, Aviation law, Insolvency law, Municipal law and compliance, Legal opinion writing, Evictions, Domestic disputes and Bail applications.
- Commercial: Drafting of Contracts: Shareholder’s agreements, Loan agreements and Terms & Conditions of use for websites.
- Insolvency: Winding-up applications (voluntary and compulsory), Liquidation in general including the winding down of entities.
He has successfully assisted and advised clients in both the public and private sectors, on all the abovementioned areas of law.
