Professional Experience

During her time at UWC, she became a member of the Golden Key Honorary Society and joined the UWC Black Lawyers Association Student Chapter which amongst other things advocate for a democratic society and encourages academic excellence.

 

Throughout her studies, she took initiative by participating in Job Shadowing with Koikanyang Inc. and in her final year of LLB she had an elective module ‘Clinical Law’, which required her to work at the UWC Law Clinic on client matters under the Supervision of a Supervising Attorney. As a result, she was exposed to conducting consultations with clients, drafting documents, advisory work, and legal research.

 

Thuto believes in being part of solution by striving to assist clients to the best of her ability and understanding that every person seeking legal help should be treated the same with respect.

 

Outside the profession, Thuto has been a mentor to High School learners within an association called ‘The Link Alumni Association”, by Airlink.

Education

She obtained her Bachelor of Commerce Law(Bcom) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degrees from the University of the Western Cape(UWC) between the year 2019 and 2023.
